Oh crumbs – I’m excited. You can meet me in Crochet Now magazine! The lovely folks at Crochet Now asked me to write a designer sketchbook containing a little bit about me and how I approached designing for my latest book! I struggled and screwed up my face, huffed and puffed, but managed to write a little bit about how I created the book. The book is called Beautiful Blankets, Afghans and Throws and you can purchase the book from Search Press or Amazon.
There’s a mugshot of me. Shudder! And, I let slip some tips on picking colours and confess my design process. There are some pictures of behind the scenes at WoolnHook HQ, including a shot of my desk without too much in the way of woolly chaos.
Also, and best of all, in the magazine is one of the patterns from my latest book! Spiky Waves is one of my favs and I’m really pleased with the colour palette I used. Its a row-by-row pattern using spike stitches which create a lovely diamond pattern.
Check out Crochet Now magazine here to see what fab things are in the issue. There’s a whole section on how to crochet spike stitches so – no dawdling – off to the shop to buy Crochet Now issue 14!!!
Happy (Spike Stitch) Hooking!
