Oh, boy – am I happy with my latest design! My Sun Storm Shawl uses Scheepjes Whirl and the yarn is just so darn awesome I want to use it for a million projects! I’m so happy with how the pattern shows off the lovely colour changes…
This shawl was so easy to make and has an unusual shape. The pattern is a repeat of two rows and because the yarn picks the colours all you have to do is crochet!
About the Sun Storm Shawl
The skill level is Easy and would suit beginners as there are only basic crochet stitches used throughout. The shawl is worked from the top down, getting ever larger, until you run out of the delicious yarn. The yarn is Scheepjes Whirl which comes in a lovely range of colours so you’re sure to find a colourway you’ll love. You can get the yarn here at Wool Box (affilliate link)
When finished the shawl measures 34″ x 99″ or 86 cm x 250 cm. The large width gives you nice big “arms” to wrap yourself in 🙂
Because the yarn is a cotton / acrylic mix its perfect for your summer outfit – I’ll certainly be wearing it after the sun has dipped below the horizon. And, any other chance I get!
