Water Lily Hexagon Crochet Pattern

I’ve put my autumn scarves down for a few hours to rustle up this Water Lily Hexagon crochet pattern…

This is my latest crochet pattern and I’m really pleased with how its turned out.  The finished hexagon will measure approximately 8″ (20cm) from edge to edge when using a 5mm crochet hook and worsted weight yarn.  I’ve used my favourite – Cascade 220.  Though I’ve worked the hexagon is worsted weight yarn it would work just as nice in DK or Light Worsted weight yarn too although it would turn out a little smaller.

The frilly centre is worked in Astrakhan stitch which is really tactile and pretty.  You need to know how to work in front loops only and back loops only for the Astrakhan stitch.  Then two rounds of petals follow – you can work these in different colours or the same colour, both options look great!  Then the background is worked in green with a blue edging.

I wanna make it!

You can purchase the pattern here on my website or on Etsy and Ravelry, just click the boxes below.

The PDF download is available in either US or UK crochet terminology and is in written format.  I hope you enjoy the pattern!

Happy Hooking!
