Shabby Chic Granny Square Throw – Pattern

TA DA! My Shabby Chic Granny Square Throw is completely finished!!  Here it is draped on a garden chair.  I should have taken a more arty shot but just couldn’t wait!

The design is a mixture of different sized granny squares and worked in a range of pinks, yellows and purples.  All the squares are then edged with cream and, after joining, a quick whip around the whole thing in cream too.  You use DK weight yarn for the blanket but worsted or aran weight would work really nicely too.  And, 4ply yarn would be nice for a childs blanket.

You join the squares by working a slip stitch seam while holding the right sides of the squares facing one another.

I’m so thrilled with it and am planning on making one for the car in appropriate car-matching colours!

I wanna make it!
