Shabby Chic Granny Square Throw |
The design is a mixture of different sized granny squares and worked in a range of pinks, yellows and purples. All the squares are then edged with cream and, after joining, a quick whip around the whole thing in cream too. You use DK weight yarn for the blanket but worsted or aran weight would work really nicely too. And, 4ply yarn would be nice for a childs blanket.
You join the squares by working a slip stitch seam while holding the right sides of the squares facing one another.
I’m so thrilled with it and am planning on making one for the car in appropriate car-matching colours!
I wanna make it!
The PDF download is available in US and UK crochet terminology and is in written format with a layout chart. Its also on Craftsy and LoveCrochet. I hope you enjoy making it!
This is so pretty! I do love how you made so many sizes of the granny. It's FAB!
As soon as I set eyes on this, I knew I had to make it, so I've just downloaded the pattern! Now all I need is the yarn…..
Thank you! I'm so pleased with this one. 🙂
