Mediterranean Summer CAL Week 3

The Mediterranean Summer CAL week 3 is out now!  In week three we’ll be making six squares – nice and relaxed this week!

If you managed to finish week 2 in time for the release of week 3 – well done!!!  Last week was a bit fiddly but this week is much easier.  We’ll be making 6 squares in two different colourways.  So, if you are a bit behind this week gives you a bit of time to catch up!

I recommend you block this weeks squares because they tend to curl up around the edges.  The squares will measure approximately 22cm x 22cm when finished.  As the squares will eventually be joined into a line we want that line to match the measurement of the three squares we made in week one and the band of week 2.  If your squares and band are a different measurement to that stated in the pattern, just divide whatever the measurement is by 6 – that will be the size you want this weeks squares to be.

Get the yarn

If you haven’t grabbed your yarn yet there’s still time to do so.  There are three colour packs to choose from; Storm, Aegean and Wild Herb.  Using the yarn requirements in the pattern head over to the Love Crafts website to grab your yarns. Or, if you are picking your own colours for the blanket, or just want to make a couple of the squares you can check out the Studio DK yarn range here.
